The Personal Data Commission of the Prosecutor Office of the Federal District and Territories (MPDFT) filed a Public Civil Action against Banco Inter S/A, requesting that the bank be ordered to pay R$ 10 million for failing to take the necessary precautions to ensure security of their customers and non-customers. The MPDFT alleges that registered and bank account data of Banco Inter account holders and of customers of other banks that have transacted with Inter users were compromised.
