Azevedo Sette Advogados has strengthened its infrastructure practice at its Belo Horizonte office by promoting an associate to partner, in anticipation of more government-sponsored construction work.

Bruna Bouissou, 37, made partner on 10 July. Her promotion increases the infrastructure practice’s partner count to four.

Partner Frederico Bopp Dieterich, who heads the infrastructure practice, expects the government to foster investment in infrastructure projects as Brazil recovers from its economic crisis. “It has bold plans to create, improve and refurbish infrastructure to increase competitionand provide better services to the public. We expect great projects to become a reality on the federal level, as well as a myriad of projects from subnational entities,” he says.

Before joining Azevedo Sette in 2008, Bouissou worked as a legal consultant in the public-private partnership unit of Minas Gerais’s state secretariat for economic development. She also served an associate at Veirano Advogados from 2006 to 2008.
