Brazilian Government has sanctioned a new law that simplifies the process of issuing tourists visas, given the FIFA World Cup 2014 and the significant numbers of tourists who will come to Brazil. In the new law enacted, the entire process may occur electronically; the tourist can apply, pay the required fees and it can be issued on the Consular Portal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (www.portalconsular.mre.gov.br). Therefore, if required to submit the any of the originals documents by the Brazilian Consulate, the foreigner must send the documents according to the regular procedure of issuing visas to tourists.
