André has more than 25 years of experience in advising clients on complex transactions in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, foreign investment, contracts, and corporate matters, mainly for the technology, health and agribusiness sectors.
His background includes: Bachelors degree from USP Law School, he was admitted to practice in São Paulo, Brazil, 1992. DEA in Political Sciences from Université Panthéon-Assas, Paris II (1998). LL.M. in Public Law from Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo (2002). Academic Visitor - Programme in Comparative Media Law and Police – Centre for Socio-Legal Studies from Oxford University in England (2008). Ph.D. in Commercial Law from Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo (2009).
Member of IDSA – Instituto de Direito Societário Aplicado. Before joining Azevedo Sette, André worked as a associate (1992-2005), and head and partner of Corporate M&A practice (2005-2022) in Brazil’s leading law firms. He is the author of several publications in the Corporate, M&A and Media Regulation areas and is fluent in English and French.
He is recommended in M&A and Corporate Law by Leaders League, The Legal 500, IFLR 1000, Best Lawyers, LL 250 e LACCA Approved as one of the most admired Brazilian lawyers in M&A and Corporate Law.
