Belo Horizonte investors acquire PPP school developer from Odebrecht Luis Bulcao Pinheiro

Azevedo Sette Advogados has helped logistics company Transpes acquire a special purpose vehicle developing 56 schools in the city of Belo Horizonte as part of Brazil’s first education-focused public private partnership (PPP).

Construction conglomerate Odebrecht, which owned the vehicle, hired Fialho Salles Advogados.

The deal, which closed on 8 October, gives Transpes 100% of the vehicle, which is called Inova BH. No value was disclosed for the deal.

Inova was created to provide services like building maintenance, security and cleaning for city council-administered schools in the capital of Minas Gerais.

Transpes is owned by Belo Horizonte-based investors 3G Fundos de Investimentos.
