OECD creates Policy Observatory related to Artificial Intelligence

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (“OECD”) has launched a Policy Observatory related to Artificial Intelligence, in order to assist countries to develop, operationalize and monitor responsible development of artificial intelligence (“AI”) systems that are reliable and beneficial for society, based on the OECD Principles on AI, adopted by all member countries of the organization in May, 2019 and adhered by a number of other countries, including Brazil.

The Observatory will have four main bases:

(i) the OECD Principles on AI;

(ii) public policies in different areas;

(iii) analyzing trends and data on the development of artificial intelligence; and (iv) country and stakeholder initiatives, strategies and governmental political agendas on the topic, at national and international levels.
